hiring project to help you get an understanding of how we work
together and what we can do for you:
Hiring Project
Example: Sales
A business owner had difficulty
hiring sales people who could succeed in his packaging company
business. Even though he gave them good training, they didn't seem
to have the right qualities to succeed.
The owner had been contacted by The
Partner Group, knew another business owner who used our services and
also attended one of our seminars.
He called us and was honest enough to
say that he was bad at hiring - that he seemed to always hire the
wrong person.
So, The Partner Group was brought in
to take control of the hiring process. We spent some time learning
about the company and developing a custom job match pattern with the
owner.
Our staff sourced resumes by putting
out ads and networking through our extensive rolodex of contacts
from having done this for 9 years.
We phone-screened candidates and set
up in-person interviews at the company.
Then, we went to the company,
interviewed the candidates, followed up with them, administered
assessments and advised the candidates about their status to tie up
any loose ends.
We made decisions throughout the
hiring process and then brought the final candidates in to meet with
both the owner and ourselves.
Together we met the final candidates
and then we consulted with the owner about the strengths and
weaknesses of each person. A recommendation was made and the owner
agreed so we put together an offer and helped negotiate with the
candidate until we had an accepted offer that was a win-win.
We produced a coaching report to help
the owner manage the salesperson and do training in the best way.
That was 5 years ago and that
salesperson is still there and very successful. Three years ago we
were brought in to hire another sales person using the same method.
That salesperson is still there and was a rock star right out of the
gate. A year ago we helped bring in a third salesperson who sold
$500,000 in his first 6 months.
